As it was dull weather we decided to have a lazy day in Poole. Then we decided at low tide we would go to Sandbanks to see if the purple sandpipers were there which they were when we arrived. Had a couple of hours with them and then came back to Poole. You could almost touch them
Today Grandad took us on his boat. I took the big camera just incase there was any birds. we saw 1x 1st winter little gull, 30+ red breasted mergansers, 2x spoonbill and all the common types of birds
Today we went to Warpole park to see if the ring billed gull was around which it was luckily. Had a couple of hours there taking photos then we had lunch in their cafe. Then we drove to stoke bay and then to Lee on Solent. "amazingly close experience and one to remeber" the Horrocks family. I woke at 7:46 am and went with grandad to make a cup of tea then had breakfast. We went to Newpoer to have a look at their beach which was very windy but very pretty. Then we went to poppit sands but ended up not parking as pay and display. Then we stopped at Cardigan to check if we could get our car checked as when we brake it makes noises then we continued. After that we went to Mwnt where we got lunch and ate it in the car as very windy. Also looked at the hill that Sarah used to climb up every night when the last time we stayed. Then we stopped of at otherplaces for a walk. Our last place we went was Newquay which was very nice but cold and windy. Didn't see very much but 1x red kite, 3+ buzzard, 10+ herring gull, 10+ black headed gull etc. Not much else. Then we drove back to Cardigan to tescos to get tea stuff which we ended up being pizza and doughbalss which i enjoyed. After i played on my laptop while the others watched long lost families. Then i went to bed to read a few chapters of my book. Then went to sleep for another night. Today i woke up at 8am. Then we had breakfast before going to strumble head in search of seals and choughs. Mum and i sat waiting for ages and no sign of the seals so i decided to find dad and we went sea bird watching. we saw 20+ gannets, 20+ manx shearwaters, 10+ fulmars, 10+ kittiwakes, 7+ black tailed godwits and a new tick for me an Artic skua(but dad didnt see it) Then i went back to mum to find out that she saw a seal(grr) then my highlight of the day was two choughs flew past enough time to get a record shot in flight. We then drove to find somewhere for lunch, we ended up at a woolen mill which was having a BBQ and live jazz music, i had a sausage roll which was scrummy. Then we drove to somewhere called Abercastle a little bay and had a little walk then we went to the next bay where i had an ice cream by then it was 17:30 so we headed towards Fishguard to see if we could find the black guillemots that were nesting there but no sign but i got another tick there it was a red throated diver. then we went to get fish ad chips before bed.
Today I woke up at 7 am and went to make a cup of tea with nana. Then we had a wonderful breakfast. Then 3 of us dropped one car off at newport and came back in the other. Then we all got walking boots on then walked along the coast path towards Newport, taking pictures all the way. Once we arrived in newport we went to a cafe to have a drink and an ice cream. then went back to cottage for lunch before we went to the local shop and to a pub that has free wifi so we could check the weather and emails. Then we went to the top of our drive where we could get signal to try and book me for horse riding on the beach adn all of us on a boat around Ramsey island and we got both on Thursday. then we went back and had chicken i tomato + basil sauce with pasta then i played on my laptop before i went to bed.
